Woofminster 2010

Everyone is invited to our 5th Annual Woofminster Amateur Dog Show and Cover Dog Challenge.
October 2, 1:00-4:00 pm. Registration begins at 12:30.

All well-behaved dogs are welcome, whether they want to compete or not. All people are welcome, even without a dog. Dogs must be on-leash at all times and under control. We will provide fresh water, pick-up bags, dog treats, and lots of fun activities for dogs and dog lovers.

ONGOING EVENTS INCLUDE:

Puppy Parade and Puppy Petting Booth - All puppies are welcome to kick off Woofminster in the parade - costumes are welcome and encouraged!
Musical Dog Beds - Will your dog find a bed when the music stops?
Doggie Limbo Party - How low can your pup go? Competitions for larger and smaller dogs.
100 Paw Dash - Multiple Heats to find the fastest Canine Sprinter in Scarborough.
Scavenger Hunt - Golden Orbees containing prize coupons scattered throughout the Camp Ketcha Grounds.
Bake Sale - Homemade Goodies at homemade prices.
Color Me Mine - Paint Your Own Pottery Booth featuring dog bowls, treat jars, picture frames and more!

CHALLENGE CATEGORIES ARE:

Best Trick - Owners have one minute to demonstrate their dog's best trick(s). Props are allowed.
Best Mystery Mutt - The strangest combination, , the hardest to determine, the most unusual mix. A Newfie/Dachshund combo?
Happiest Dog - How does your dog express joy? Wagging tail? Big Smile? Constant wiggle? Best expression of joy wins the prize.
Best Beggar - How does your dog melt your resolve and get that cookie from you every time? Stand on 2 legs? Sing you a song? Give your hand a head-butt? Most convincing beg takes the prize.
Cover Dog Challenge - Challenge winners and raffle prize winners will compete for the grand prize - Best in Show! Winner gets a professional photo shoot and a chance to be on the cover of the next Planet Dog catalogue.
