tributes - bella
We will all miss Bella’s beauty and independent spirit and her never ending desire to retrieve a stick, a rock or a seashell. No matter what the season, Bella was always ready to venture into the woods, the surf, through the snow, or out for a sail.
She never lost her excitement for going to the beach and could sense the water long before it came into view. Already a well traveled companion, last year she had the adventure of a lifetime, sailing from Connecticut to the Bahamas and back, for nearly a year with her Mom & Dad. The crew came home tan, relaxed, and she with her beautiful black hair, highlighted by the tropical sun. Oh, the stories she could tell…
Bella always welcomed any person, family or dog into her home and was a friend to all. Her stature and beautiful coat always stood out in a crowd and she was happy to play with anyone; nothing fancy, just sticks, and rocks, acorns in the fall and a snowball in winter.
Slopping her water bowl; sliding open the back door; running upstairs after dinner; or chasing the ‘mystery’ behind the garage; she made you smile.
Thank you Bella for being such a good friend, giving us many happy memories and years of warm companionship.
