The Planet Dog Foundation understands that there are numerous ways to support innovative and like-minded organizations in addition to cash grants. Because our grantmaking budget is limited, we also offer a product donation program.

Planet Dog has donated gift baskets to The Planet Dog Foundation to be used as auction items or raffle prizes. We donate a limited number of baskets each year and they are earmarked for non-profit organizations only. Organizations do not need to work with dogs to apply. Baskets will vary depending on the nature of the event. The average product donation will be between $25- $100 in retail value.


In addition, Planet Dog donates a selection of products to PDF to be donated throughout the U.S. These items are distributed to non-profits for use in fundraising efforts or for shelter animals.

PLEASE NOTE: Because we receive more requests than we can possibly fill, written applications MUST be submitted and received at The Planet Dog Foundation at least six weeks before the date items are needed. E-mail applications will not be accepted - we require a hard copy by fax or mail. Last minute requests will not be considered. Additionally, we have a limited amount of product for donation. We try to accommodate as many applicants as possible but the demand far exceeds our capacity to give. Submitting an application does not guarantee a product donation.

Application Instructions

Please print the application form and send along with the required documents listed. Without proper documentation, we will not consider your request.

   •All requesting organizations must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
    and must submit the first page of their IRS documentation.

   •For-profits or individuals do not qualify.

   •The following organizations/types of events also do not
   qualify:

        Religious, political or sectarian organizations

        Scholarship Programs

        Agility Trials & Competitions

        Breed-Specific Shows and Competitions


Along with the application form, please include the first page of your nonprofit’s IRS exemption letter highlighting your federal tax identification number. If your request is for an event, please include promotional materials. We must have these three items to consider your request. Please be sure to list a physical street address because we cannot ship to a P.O. Box. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot ship product to a volunteer’s house. If you need an exception, please contact the Executive Director.


Requests will only be accepted when given a six week lead-time. For additional information, please contact the Executive Director.
