Grantee - East Coast Assistance Dogs (ECAD)
East Coast Assistance Dogs (ECAD)
ECAD works with Green Chimneys, a program for troubled and at-risk youth in New York City to train assistance dogs to help people with disabilities. They place 25-30 dogs each year, while also providing intensive outreach to at-risk teens in residential settings, and offering a volunteer program for youth in the community. Dogs are placed primarily in New York and New England with people living with a variety of disabilities. This grant will specifically support medical costs, training, and transportation for teens and the dogs in the program.Click here to view their site.
