Many thanks to all of the Planet Dog Foundation's (PDF) wonderful supporters who turned out for the best Bark in the Park to date! 150 dogs and 250 people woofed it up in the bleacher section of Hadlock Field at PDF's 4th annual Bark in the Park on May 1. The Maine weather cooperated, as baseball loving fans and their pups enjoyed an on-field parade led by Slugger, before settling in to watch the Portland SeaDogs beat the New Britain WildCats 4-1. This year drew the highest number of human and canine participants to date, with people coming from New Hampshire, Massachusetts and even Connecticut to enjoy the game. PDF was joined by volunteers from the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook, ME, who brought along several dogs available for adoption to lead the parade and search for their forever home. Many thanks to all of the attendees, and to Kari Herer, who captured the day with her beautiful photography. Click here to see more fun photos of the day.
