PDF has established a fundraising program to make an emergency donation to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. The donation will help support the efforts of their teams currently active in Haiti. Their teams train rigorously for years, so they can immediately mobilize in times of unthinkable disasters like this one.

 

All donations (up to $1,500) made to the Planet Dog Foundation to help support the work of the life-saving dogs in the Haiti rescue efforts will be matched by the Planet Dog Foundation. Joanne Woodward Newman and Newman's Own Foundation, will then match PDF's total contribution to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. That means that every single contribution to PDF will be quadrupled!

offer a tribute

Our Tribute Program provides a meaningful way to celebrate your four-legged friend while giving back to other dogs who give so much. Donations can be made in honor of your pet or that of a loved one. You may give in memory of a pet or to celebrate something a dog has accomplished. Perhaps your dog has recently been certified as a therapy dog. Maybe you just adopted it from a shelter and want to celebrate the beginning of its new life. Maybe your dog finally mastered the agility course. We host several annual events in and around Portland, ME to help raise money for our grants. These fun-filled, dog-friendly events help us to spread the word about the value that dogs offer in a variety of settings while also allowing our neighbors to show their support.
